DYNAMO, the Dynamic Biomedical Devices Group at the Technical University of Denmark, is led by Tijana Miseljic. Our mission is to turn micro- and nanomotors, tiny devices that propel themselves with light or chemical fuel, into active tools for medicine. We design them to carry drugs past the body's barriers, into chronic wounds, across the nasal route to the brain and through the mucus of the gut, and to detect drugs and biomarkers on the move with SERS. Our work brings together materials science, chemistry, microfabrication and biomedical engineering, with the aim of translating active micro/nanodevices into real biomedical solutions.
